I have been an RBT for over 6 years, and have worked with individuals with various disabilities ranging from the ages of 6 weeks to 21 years old. When I was around 11 years old, I had the opportunity to help coach a cheerleading team for individuals with disabilities. I very quickly learned that helping others achieve goals, skills, and work towards independence was something I desired to pursue throughout adulthood. Serving a population that many people don’t understand has enabled me to see the world with a different set of eyes. My personal philosophy is to live a life that I am proud of, treat others with respect and value, live a creative life, always strive to help others, promote inclusion and advocacy, and to make a difference. Outside of work, I enjoy fabricating and selling jewelry made out of silver and gemstones, paddle boarding, spending time friends and family, pretending I’m funny, and venturing around antique and thrift stores finding hidden treasures.
